A Large Devon River Landscape with Fisherman

Finely painted Victorian traditional West Country River Landscape, by the noted artist George Henry Jenkins.

A High Quality Large antique original painting, oil on canvas, by the British West Country Artist Henry George Jenkins. Large size, exceptional condition, and original ornate gesso frame. 

Signed to bottom left corner. 

A fine riverscape oil on canvas painting with fisherman. Typical of Jenkins, but "a cut above" in size, quality and overall appearance. This may well be one of his "exhibition" works of the early 20th C.

Certainly a very good painting with excellent perspective, colouring and detail, which would fit in most homes looking for a "vintage" or traditional well as fitting the bill for an art investor or collector....

Dimensions - 37" wide x 28" tall overall, 29.5" x 19.5" visible canvas only. (approx dimensions)

Very good condition good and ready to hang "as is" with light wear and tear as expected to the frame, the canvas is in fine condition, although there are two small areas of "relining" to the rear (possibly over a "weakened are of the canvas"?  - please see the photographs to assess the picture and it's condition, and message me with any queries....

Dispatched with Hermes Couriers, Royal Mail Parcelforce - well packed and protected. With tracking. Collection in person is also good, from central Glasgow or Strathblane to the north of the city, by arrangement.
